Can you root the top of a pineapple and if so, how?

You can root the crown, you need the top inch or so of the pineapple and its leaves, just stick it in some moist soil and it almost always roots. I have several. They like to be warm and in a sunny location.

My mother just stuck the pineapple top in a pot of dirt and watered it. she left the leafy part exposed. The next year we had a small pineapple to eat.Try it.

Yes, that is exactly how pineapple are propigated in Hawaii. I think you should try some Rootone-a product for rooting.

yes you can we used to just put them in good potting soil like miracle grow and keep them wet it takes a long time to get a pineapple but you can.
