I don't know if they still offer Latin, I took it years ago as an elective and I still draw from it to this day to decipher the origins and meanings of many words. Spanish may come in handy as well, but Latin would be a great base to build a solid vocabulary from....start thinking SAT scores

Yes. It is helpful to have, and you probably will use it, at least a little, in the future. You may have to take foreign language classes in college, too, so this would be a good choice and would give you a background. It also would look good on college applications, because it shows you chose more challenging/useful courses as electives, opposed to bunny classes. (I'm assuming you're in high school!! :x)

Yes, it never hurts to know a little Spanish. You might like it and end up learning it well after several more courses and some time in a foreign country. Then you'll have a valuable skill.

Si. It will help a lot and colleges would like at least 2 years of a foreign language. Spanish is fairly simple too. I took it this year.

I think it is good to learn the basics of a second language because there are so many people in our country today who speak this language and would bridge an important gap and maybe they would also be more willing to learn the English language as well if they do not know it.

That's actually a good language to learn as there a re a lot of people who speak Spanish in this country nowadays and you would understand what they are saying and can speak with them as well.

Yeah. Why not? Good idea. Seems that the Mexicans are invading the USA, and hijacking our language anyway. Sooner or later, Spanish will probably be our national language, at the rate things are going. B*stards!
