I think I am slightly dilated, maybe 2 cm. I am only 4 months along, and I guess I wasn't dilated at all until I was 8 months pregnant with my first baby. Should I be worried? I have been cramping a lot, but it is constant cramping, not like contractions. And I'm pretty sure I feel the baby move from time to time. Should I be worried? Or should I just wait for them to check my cervic with my ultrasound in 2 weeks?

How do you know that you are dialiated? I wouldnt worry too much until you see your doc and they tell you that you are dialiated. Even being a second pregnancy, you can misread alot of feelings and discomforts for something they are not. Like alot of women pee on their self and mistake it for their water breaking. Just try not to worry too much. Maybe you should go ahead and make a doc app sooner if you are really worried. You still have a ways to go before you can have the baby. If you ARE dialiated thats not a good thing! Best of luck to you and congrads on baby!

is this what your doctor told you or what?
i didn't realize i was dilating until my doc did a pelvic at my normal ob checkup.

it can be normal, but you should definitely get in to see your doc asap just in case.

i was 2 cm dilated with my second daughter when i was only 4-1/2 months along and already experiencing braxton-hicks. by the time i reached 6 months i was 3 cm dilated and they put me on bedrest.

it was an entirely uncomfortable pregnancy all the way through, but i got through it and my daughter was born exactly on her due date!

If you know you are dilated then you must have been to the doctors for them to tell you that and seeing as you already have a baby, it is quite possibly normal. I'm 32 weeks with my second and I'm already dilated also and it's completely normal.

I would go to your doctor straight away or the hospital for more advice. Cramping is not normal.

Are you checking your own cervix?? Please don't do that. The cervix is highly sensitive during pregnancy and should only be examined by a trained professional. In any case, being dilated at your stage is much too soon. Please see a doctor about this. And please don't check your own cervix.

Good luck.
