Im going to an amusement park this weekend and I've never been able to go on anything more than the medium 'scary' rides. I dont really like the ones that go upside down or really high but the group Im going with are all really gungho on those types and I'd like to participate if I can. Im just looking for tips for going on those types of rides?

Just know that you are safe if you use the restraints correctly... listen to the attendants, and let them check your belts when they walk by, they will know if something is not right. Also, try not to eat anything soon before, but don't have a completely empty stomach. Maybe bring along some Saltines or crackers as a snack.

Also, if you really don't feel comfortable, don't go, or at least don't go on the rides you REALLY don't want to be on. It's hard, but try not to feel embarrassed. I think most people are understanding that not everyone likes rides.

When I was never on a roller coaster before my brother took me to the scariest one with the biggest drops n stuff. but after that the other seems like nothing much. But just go on the rides. its natural to be scared at first. Dont think about the ride breaking or anything like in final destination. If the rides were anywhere near unsafe they wouldnt be running right? And yea people generally dont get sick unless theyve just eaten. other then that just hold on.

Okay, your hearing it from a type t
TYPE THRILLER
i love those rides, and it depends how you look at it
when you ride sit behind someone with a big head so you dont see whats going to happen
Look at the ride and watch the people who get on and get off with a smile on their face. If they enjoyed it so can you
Dont read the safety warnings. They are there for .0000000001 percent of rides that become hazardous
and overall have fun.

honestly if you close your eyes during the entire ride it really helps. I used to not like it and when i did that it really helps. Once you go on a couple though, im sure you will begin to enjoy those types of rides. Have a great time!

Can you guess what my first roller coaster was? The Superman at Six Flags and oh god...that was the most frightening experience i have ever had. And to be honest, the first drop was insane, but i got used to it the next time i rode.
You won't know what's going to happen on your first ride, so you'll be very scared. But you go on it again, you'll know when the scary parts are (the high drops) and prepare yourself for it. So the second time around, you'll be fine. Just have fun!

P.S. Don't wear any necklace/jewlelry/dangling stuff...my necklace hit me in the eye and it really hurts...still lol

Don't do anything you don't want to do. But if you're going to try, here's a tip: people rarely get sick on roller coasters. And after about a minute the ride is basically over.

i have your problem. I am scared to death of heights and everyone else in my family loves to go on crazy rides. The best ways to cope are these.

1. Think of other things before the big drop, don't think of the drop, distract yourself.

2. before the ride dont think of all the things that could go wrong, that only increases your fear.

and thats about it. hope I helped you.

You see this is how I am, I recently went to a water park and there was this half-pipe thing that you go down on on a single or double tube (i did it with my bud) and anyway before the dude pushed us down I was like "Oh ma ga! im going to die!!!!!" anyway we went down and it scared the poo right out of me!!! but anyways afterwards I thought it was kinda fun kuz of the adrenaline rush...... Definitely not doing it again though.

Anywho just go for it! It's always better with friends
