Fulgurites

I think I saw this in a movie... The Reaping, maybe?

I'm pretty sure that the fulgurite wind chimes displayed in the movie were created when lightning hits sand.

I think it's called "sand glass", which of course, glass is already made of, but this is instant. Have you seen "Sweet Home Alabama" with Reese Witherspoon?

It is called fulgurite. Weird name. I don't know how i always remember it=]

I think fossilized lightning not 100% sure though
