I think another opinion would be best.
Personally, I don't have any experience with this, but it seems to me you're right...bedrest would just make sense!

Yes she should definately see another doctor. I am almost positive that any insurance plan even medicaid will pay for any maternal care unless you have more than one appointment in the same day. So just have her go in the mean time to see another doc. I personally think she should put herself on bed rest. You can NEVER be too careful! Any weird signs or any discomforts she has you may need to take her to the ER. They will check her out fully, trust me. Even down to an IV. But like I say you can never be too cautious. Good luck and best wishes for the both of you. Congrads on baby and I hope things go well this time!

I would go to another doctor and DEMAND that something be done to protect your gf and baby! If I read right this is her 3rd try and they know that she is a high-risk patient. The doctor should listen to the patient (you and your gf) and consider bed-rest or other safe medical options that might be available. Research other doctors NOW, before they consider taking the baby or any futher moves. She just needs to switch doctors, not get a 2nd opinion. The doctor is there to listen to you, answer your questions, and keep you healthy.
I would also suggest to your gf to just start bedrest and take things REALLY easily. Not to pick up heavy objects, stress out, ect.

I've never dealt with this personally but it is always best to trust your own instincts when it comes to your (or your partner's) health. If you both feel that she needs bed rest, then by all means do that. If it were me, I'd find a second opinion. It seems that by having two miscarriages she would be in the high risk group and would be monitored much more closely.
I will be praying for the three of you (you two and the baby).

I would get another doctor. I am 35 weeks pregnant with my 2nd child and was having some complications when I was 3months pregnant and my doctor has pretty much had me on bed rest since then. In your case I would think that the doctor would be taking all precautions necessary. I would most definetly get another doctor or another opinion. Good Luck and congrats on the new family member.

Definately get that second opinion! Have her on bedrest till she sees the OTHER doctor. Not her original one becasue obviously they are not doing anything to help. When in doubt ALWAYS get that second opinion. My cousin had started bleeding heavily when she was far into her second trimester, her doctor did everything for her, they even built a sac around the baby so she would not lose the baby. She had to be on bedrest till she would go into labor. Since your girlfriend is this far, I'm sure there is something they can do. Goodluck
