You should NEVER run a laptop without the battery, there is nothing to absorb any transients, also many of them rely on the battery to regulate the supply voltage. this can cause the laptopp to burn out, and I have seen instances of fires caused this way.

Yes a laptop will work without a battery. As long as you have a power supply that works you'll be all set.

A defective battery can make your laptop do funny things. I once had an old Dell laptop that would lock up in the middle of loading Windows 2k. Come to find out it was a defective battery. By removing the battery the system ran fine.

Keep in mind that a replacement battery will most likely cost between $50 and $150 depending on the type of battery you buy and where you buy it. There are plenty of third party vendors out there who sell replacement batteries for all the major laptop brands at a fraction of the cost that the OEM sells them for. Use Google to help you find a bargain.

Hope this helps.
Good luck,

Sure you can as long as you have the a/c adaptor, but why would you want a laptop if you need to keep it plugged in all the time? Most batteries will cost an additional $150.00, or so, consider the price if you intend to add a battery later. I don't know your budget, but you can buy a pretty decent NEW laptop for between $500-$600 these days, and they come with batteries.

As long as you have the power supply still, you can. My battery got fried a while ago, and I am still using the laptop by keeping it constantly plugged into the powerpoint.

as long as there is an a/c adapter plugged into a wall socket and the laptop....yes. kinda takes the portability out of it though.

Get the AC adapter and you have to keep it plugged in all the time.

I suggest buying one with battery's or buying a desktop.

Yes, but you have to plug it in . so you would work with electricity. But you cant move around with it when its plugged so its better if you get a battery.

Good Luck

I found this website and it says it will work if you just plug it into the wall.
