I don't think there is one unbiased news source. I watch cnn for the basics, but I also go to several sites online that originate from different countries. For instance, try to get news from the countries the U.S. is saying bad things about. You will get an interesting and very different view.

There is no such thing as unbiased. Even when reporting "just facts" the order they are placed in, which ones are emphasized, which ones included and/or excluded can slant a story. Many times, this is not a journalist's intended bias. It's his/her job to put out what he or she thinks is most important.
I try and get my news from a variety of different sources ... and not all American. For example, for a different view on the Middle East, I like to read the Jordanian Times. I also like the BBC and I read some German papers. On a nightly basis, I use CNN and NBC because they're handy, but I've usually done some reading beforehand.
One thing, you definitely cannot depend on TV news to give you the whole story due to time limitations.

I do not go to the History category in Yahoo Answers.
I see a lot of bias in the answers here, but this is not the place to come for news, is it? I get mine from a combination of newspapers, the BBC, CNN, and other sources.

It is very difficult to get unbiased news. But the problem in many cases is much more subtle than the obvious slants of CNN and FOX. Often it is not so much the coverage as it is the choice of what stories and topics are covered that reveals the biases of the source. Frankly, almost all of us get our news from the sources whose philosophies we approve. That makes all of us feel good. Perhaps the best way is to get news from a variety of slants. Things balance out that way.

Is any news unbiased? Not being sarcastic. Just think that as long as humans are reporting there will be some sort of bias. BBC is pretty good but I wonder sometimes....?
Anyway, if you are ever looking for an article or something, I found this site where you can search stories by categories:

Cheers!

I try to get it from as many sources as I can: CNN, Fox, NPR, BBC, etc. The least biased I have encountered is CBC - Canadian Broadcasting - they slant Liberal - but everyone slants one way or the other, some are just much more obvious than others.
I agree with Atlantaboi3 - take in as much as you can and make up your own mind.

I would LOVE to know the answer to that question. There is nowhere to get unbiased news. I do the same as atlantaboi3 by reading all of it online. It's true what they say that the media really goes far left. Fox News is better than the rest, but it is still a bunch of liars. I usually go to AOL News, but I also get a newsletter from Liberally Conservative, which is a more conservative side on the issue. Also like what atlantaboi3 said, I make my own descisions, and do additional research on topics that catch my interest. Good Luck!

There is no such thing actually. All media is biased in some way. They might try and seem like they aren't, but so far there is no such thing as complete objectivity in the news. What you can do though is watch any news station you want to, just always have it in the back of your head there is truth behind what they're trying to tell you and that truth has no bias or view point.

It does not exist. I would not trust BBC farther than I can throw them. I read all news, lib and con, to stay informed then I make my own decision.

Veteran's magazines are better than any of the TV stations, but of course, they have such a narrow range.
