our paths in life(given to us for a reason I think), our relationships etc.
Why do we always try to change things when we know they are going to happen anyway?
Im guilty of doing it too but you just get down trodden and crushed when you realise you can do anything in your power but its a waste of time in the end.
Thought a deep thought provoking question was on the cards, couldnt help it sorry. x

How true is that!! We try to change things in the hope that 'this time' it will come right. Sometimes it does, or so i am told... Its also supposed to be character building... Doesnt feel like that at the time though. Just keep on hanging in there until it does (maybe)

Hi,
My Gran believed that when anyone is born there is always an Angel present.
This Angel carries a book and in that book is your life story.
The baby is shown that story and from then onward it's life follows the path set down for it.
You cannot change the path in any way because every change you make is already written for you.
You follow this story as written by God, all your life. All your choices have already been approved, even the ones that you think were bad.
At the end of the story you die and then start yet another pre ordained life, but this time with God.

The 'inevitable' is often only a perception about what will happen. There is the risk of becoming fatalistic -- we all die, so why bother, why try, why live?

There are many things that we do have control over, so making a decision that something is inevitable is not necessary true.

Many things that are inevitable can, in fact, be interrupted. A driver can view an accident as inevitable, or take precautions each step of the way to avoid that accident.

I'd prefer you not drive while you hold such beliefs. You are likely to surrender to the belief, assume the accident is inevitable and hurt many people.

If you rise above the earth and enter into free space above, you would find no earthly days and nights to measure your time - just time passing without the happenings of minutes, hours, day and months. This is the reality of things happening, they just seem to happen where actually they don’t; and if they do then nothing ever stops.

Nothing every happens, and if something is happening then it never stops happening; happenings are like a rive of events flowing, one event leads on to the next as the moment now is the moment past matured into what it is now. We see, feel and realise things happening only when we become conscious of them is our own ways for our own stand point in life.

What we realise has happened to s now will take us into the realisation of the things that are to follow. We therefore naturally try to do our best. Nothing in the inner mind is bigger enough to stop us from doing this. We always wish and do that things were better. We always do the best we could. In giving our best we find the reason to expect the best in return. This is where our happiness and success is.

We try to stop something we know we won't like, knowing that we can't because of hope. People always hope they can avoid misfortune, disaster, just by trying harder. If something bad has already happened we do not wish to be miserable, so we try to make things right again. This is a natural reaction and is generally commendable, except that you need to know when to give up, when it is a lost cause and when you will harm yourself by continuing.

In relationships you will find that some people are hell-bent on their own destruction and the destruction of everyone around them. They refuse to be helped and must hit bottom before awakening to their problem, or they die. Remember that God loves everyone, even the unbelievers, but God cannot heal people until they find that there is no place where God is not, including within themselves if they listen to their hearts.

It is all about choices that we make. We form our own futures by the conscious directions we choose for ourselves. Most people are "asleep" at the wheel, going through motions and are on auto-pilot. Being awake and aware of every moment and everything around us helps us to pick up subtle signals, especially when other people are involved. Becoming more aware is the key, and at any point we can change our outcomes, even in the most minute of ways. The result may be the same, but the process may be less painful.

We can make choices for ourselves which are constructive, healthy, and peaceful.

I may be full of it, too! lol

i am not sure we do stop the inevitable happening
that would mean we can see into the future

sometimes we can intuit the future or make "calculations " from our past experiences

but we can never see whats going to happen....

things have changed all through history by people who have taken risks and made "mistakes"

but mistakes arent really mistakes
because we and others learn from them

Because we're human beings, we have our own ideas of what should be and so we fight for it. Stubbornness and optimism comes to the fore against fatalism.
