I never did, thank God.

I did, in the 11 th grade. My biggest mistake ever. Nobody wants to hire you for a job, b/c your a quitter. The only job you can get is working in fast food. Then you get into a rut of not having the luxury to go back to school and get an education when you get older b/c you can't afford too. You spend what little money you make on rent and lights, Driving a crappy car, and face it who wants to go out with someone who doesn't want to improve their lifestyle. If your thinking about it don't do it. I had to work twice as hard just to get a good paying job, and it is still crappy. If I would have just cruised along in school , no telling where life would have took me.

yes I do...It has ruined my life. I am 25, work odd jobs and live at home...I will say at the time though I was having fun staying out at all hours of the night not having to worry about school the next day. I partied hard and got drunk like a skunk. In my drinking days I think I could out drink anyone....

Now I am trying for my GED

Not really. I got a GED and then went to college for my degree. I learned the things I wanted to when my high school wouldn't teach me. I'm not saying it's a good idea. It just was for me then. I was too busy running my band.
I did miss the proms and reunions though. I haven't been back to Detroit since I left in 1983 and I was 18.

Always, but at the time I wanted to go get a job and make my own money. My parents, god bless them, couldn't afford to send us to college. So I didn't see any point at that time to continue with school. I always wanted to do something to educate myself more, but the opportunities weren't there for me, at least not that I could see. I am so proud of my brother, he did find a way, now he has his own business, a beautiful home , and he helps his employees by sponsering them to go take courses!! He is awesome!

Sure. I wish college wasn't so darn expensive....but I couldn't continue going 'cause I had had a substantial amount of money stolen from me right before what may have been my last year...so I couldn't afford to finish.

I didn't I went the whole hog and it paid off.
If anyone did and they regret it they can always enrol somewhere and catch up,it's never too late and they are never too old.
