In the last decade Christmas has become my least fave (and it used to be one of my faves). There is so much pressure to get the right gift, go visit all the relatives, not gain too much weight yet not offend anyone by not eating what they cooked, financially its draining, and the stores start putting out Christmas stuff in early October. I am Christmased out by the time Dec 25th rolls around. I think the holiday has gotten too commercial. Also, Christmas is very different when you are an adult vs. when you are a kid. I am an only child (in my early 30s) and my parents got divorced 2 years ago. They live across the country and I have to divide my time up between the two now and endure awkward questions, etc.

Halloween is my favorite though.

Christmas is a terrible time of year for me. It is never a good thing for a dysfunctional family to be expected to spend time with one another. It was always so boring for me as a child and these days I just boycot it altogether.

Nothing is open, you are expected to spend way more money than you have and my most hated element of this time of year...the god forsaken Christmas music that plays in every store and on every radio station starting the DAY AFTER HALLOWEEN!!!

Probably Memorial Day because everything is closed.
It's still really cool to get the day off, and we ARE supposed to be thinking about all the innocent soldiers dying overseas pointlessly, so I guess I should love that holiday.

My fave is St Patricks Day, just in case you're wondering. After Halloween, but that's also my birthday so I guess it doesn't count. Oh well.

christmas. i hate how it feels like people get each other presents because its expected (at least thats how i feel) so i feel bad taking the gift. i also am atheist so i feel like im disrespecting the catholic believers because i am 'celebrating' something i have no heart for. its hypocritical of me, but i don't want to not participate in it because it is a family gathering, i'd be making a big deal out of something dumb.

Father's day. Because my father died two years ago and I miss him so much. He was the best dad a girl could ask for.

Remberance Day. I cry, and it is also sad to think how many young people have died for our country not knowing if they would come home alive or not.
