My husband and I just got done with our first real TTC and I am just a few days into my "Two Week Wait". Has anyone else been in agony? I can't believe that I have to wait so long to find out! I wish there was a sign, like fingernails turning blue or something when we're pregnant. :)
Anyways, I have this on my mind too much, which I know can't be good for me. I keep agonizing over every little twinge and watch symptoms on www.twoweekwait.com. Does anyone have advice on how to chill during this time? I would rather just go about like nothing is different (well, aside from no coffee/alcohol and taking care of myself) but it's so hard to do.

Any advice or similar experiences would be appreciated. Thanks!!!

i drove myself crazy last month--our first real month TTC. i think from all the stalking of thr websites and reading books that i actually convinced myself that i was, but then i got AF. i know its hard, but try to have a "whatever" attitude. make plans w/ hubby, friends, etc. waiting really sux, but there's nothing you can do about it. also, take my advice: don't crap away money on boxes of HPTs. wait at least 3 or so days b4 your expected period if you MUST test beforehand!

good luck to you!

Hey girl, i too am trying to concieve and ive been unsuccesfull for the past 3months..i know how obsessive you can get with the two week wait u start taking notice of every little thing in your body and then wondering, is that a sign of pregnancy? DONT DO IT!!! i got so caught up in it all i actually tricked myself into having symptoms and i delayed my period!! trust me if u keep focusing on it u will do this, so try to avoid it all together dont research pregnancy on the net dont talk about it, and everytime u think about it go and do something else to take ur mind off it....and its unlikely that u will be successful the first month, i mean its possible but not likely!!! if u want to chat together add me to msn and we can go through this whole thing together!! its good to have someone to talk to who is in the same boat! sarahs_house_2nite@hotmail.com!

I have had alot of two week waits over the last year. What helps me is doing my BBT everyday because I know that after my temp shifts either my period will start 13 days later or my temp will stay up past 16 days and I will know I am preggo. This keeps me sane and grounded each month because it lets me feel I taking an active part in the process. It's not fun to wait of course but we all have to do it every month til we finally get our BFP. Hopefully you won't have too many 2 week waits and this will be the only one you have to suffer through! Good luck!

I know what you mean girl. Try to avoid going to department stores. I try not to do this even though it is hard. When you go into a department store you will wonder off into the baby clothes and baby items department. It just makes it you want it so bad you can't stand it. You will look and say Oh I am going to get this and this and oh I like this if it is a boy or this if it is a girl. Believe me you'll have the whole nursery planned out before you even find out if you are pregnant. Then if you get a Negative test you just feel heartbroken.

yea the wait is a killer....however the longest wait is whilst you're approximately 38 weeks and recognize very quickly your little one will probably be right here and time simply wont move rapid sufficient. you've a beautiful top hazard of having pregnant so the wait will probably be valued at it whilst you eventually scan

do what you would normally do! Go out, see a movie, go dancing, whatever. The weeks will take the same time, regardless of if you sit around waititng or get up and do something!
