No, when I was ttc my first, I took the test 3 days before I should have gotten my period and it was negative. I took the test again on the day I was supposed to get my period and it was positive. I knew I was pregnant so I tried to take one of those early hpt, but the earlier you take it - the less accurate they are. Take one again on the day you should have gotten your period (if you still have not gotten your period).

I dunno why everyone is saying two-three weeks AFTER your due period. Every woman is different regardless of what the statistics say. I took a test the night my period was due and it was a very very bright positive. I was only three weeks pregnant. Wait to see if your period starts, if not then test then. I think a week before may be too early, but just take another when your period is due. goodluck

If you are not sure try in a couple days, with both my pregnancies, I got positive test results before my period was set to come, because I felt pregnant

most women wont show positive until they are due for their period or later. Re-test if your period is late

It's possible but I would take another one closer to your period, and see what that says.
