Stevie, How bout we actually ennforce the laws on the books for starters. Or I guess it's OK with you to have 12 to 20 million illegal aliens burdening our welfare,medical,and economic systems in this country while not paying taxes and tax payers carry the load? Yeah, let's pass a bill that says it's OK to completely disregard our laws and our sovereignty. Good message you want to send to all the drug dealers and criminals coming across every day. Get real.

Please, give it a break!...I am so sick of the "Amnesty" anthem! That is not an 'answer' as to how to address the fact that millions of people live and work in the US illegally. Get real, my friend...Are you willing to pay the the mega-bucks it would cost to 'send them all home'? I think not! So, while the 'bill' may not be your cup-of-tea (I also object to some of the provisions in it!) it seems that on the whole... the proposed legislation is a much more thoughtful approach then to enact nothing! (Or perhaps you would prefer no changes...no enhanced border security, no obligation for 'illegals' to pay what amounts to fines, etc.) In a nutshell...what exactly IS your better idea on how to resolve the current situation? I'm all ears! Blessings...

There isn't enough time and space to respond in total, to your question - suffice to say, this is a very difficult and necessary issue to be resolved. We do need some method for weeding out the criminals, and deadbeats who have, or will in the future invade our borders. And, as a nation, our foundation was built from 'illegals' coming to America. There were others here, before us... remember?
