so my friend got some splatters of mountain dew code red on his white shirt and he needs to get that out. any suggestions?

Try bleach. If that doesn't work, try oxi-clean (make a paste and rub directly on stain, wait 10 minutes, wash). If that doesn't work, pour liquid tide on the stain. Wait 10 minutes, then wash in your washer. One more suggestion: little yellow bottles called "Stain Devils." They have a special formula for just about any stain and they work like magic.

wash the shirt in cold water and regular laundry soap the soda should come out if it hasn't been there for a long time .

I would take it to the dry cleaner. A little more expensive, but it is more safe and you are almost guarenteed that they can fix it.
