Is Mardel Coppersafe a good medication for saltwater tanks??

Question

I bought a new puffer fish and noticed he was scratching himself on the sand and my lava rock. Does anyone have any idea why and is the above mentioned medication a good one. Thanks in advance for the help!!

Will it affect the Live Rock in a tank???

As long as this is a fish only tank with no inverts, the Coppersafe will be fine. Remember though that the tank will not be safe for invert again for several months unless you make great to remove the copper completely.
