Oakland Athletics were the Philadelphia Athletics if I am not mistaken but that was a long, long time ago. Giants played in NY before going to San Fransico and the Dodgers of course played in Brooklyn before going to Los Angeles, thus the hated rivalry till this day. Raiders played in Oakland than Los Angeles than back to Oakland. A's are moving to Fremont but that is still the Bay Area.
Wow, didn't know about the KC connection with the A's?!

The A's Started in Philadelphia, moved to Kansas City, then to San Francisco.
The Giants started in NYC (more specifically, Manhattan).
The Raiders were home grown (As were the 49ers. BTW). The Raiders did move to LA for a time, then back to Oakland.

The Philadelphia Athletics were originally one of the charter members of the American League in 1901. They played in Philly through the 1954 season, where they won 9 American League Pennants and 5 World Series titles. Starting in the 1955 season, the Athletics were located in Kansas City, where they stayed through 1967. The 1968 season brought the A's to Oakland where they currently reside.
The Giants were founded in 1879 as the Troy (NY) Trojans. They moved to New York City in 1883 where they were known as the Gothams, then the Giants. They stayed in New York through the 1957 season, winning 17 National League Pennants and 5 World Series titles. They moved to San Francisco for the 1958 season, where they have been ever since.
These two franchises have met 4 times in the World Series, with the Giants taking the 1905 series, and the Athletics taking the 1911, 1913, and 1989 series.
The Oakland Raiders were founded as a charter member of the AFL in 1960. They stayed in Oakland through the 1981 season, winning 1 AFL Title and 2 Super Bowls. In 1982, they moved to Los Angeles, and won the Super Bowl in 1983. They stayed in LA through the 1994 season. In 1995, the Raiders moved back to Oakland, where they still play today.

Tampa Bay continually seems to be a thorn in our section. with any luck Yanks can take some revenge on them this night on the Trop. Edit> ok, Kim, agreed. The Angels are our greatest nightmare, and that i despise Mike "The Whiner" Scioscia extra suitable than the different supervisor. i assume i seen the Rays first because of the fact it continually appears like we are dropping video games to them that we could continually no longer be dropping. they'd bypass sixty two-a hundred and nevertheless chop up the season series with us (i've got not got particular stats to back that up, it merely feels that way). Angels on the different hand a minimum of are a great team, so dropping to them makes a sprint extra sense. i assume. besides, the sight of ok-Rod doing his fist-pump is likely one in each and every of the main terrible pictures i can think of, and we've seen it way too in many cases, so specific, I blew it. The Angels are the final answer for Yankee followers.
