Yes, I have an American Flag hanging from my clothes line on my back porch. I have it up at all times.
My sister is spending some time in Iraq right now, so I show my support as much as I can :)

No - But I do have the ensign I used to fly on my boat in sentimental respect for old sailing practice. It's tucked safely away. "My" country is Australia, and its landscape is all the flag I need. But my son in law flies a flag at his gate - and fails to take it in at sunset as he should. I think it's ridiculous. My daughter suffers it as he suffers her own idiosyncrasies. I regard such practice as a symptom of uncertainty over identity, discomfort over your place in the world, or fear of being seen as outside the national congregation. New migrants, especially those still imbued with nationalistic animosities, often fly the local flag and the habit can persist through generations. I feel sorry for them. Collective Jingoism - like religion - is a crutch for the bamboozled, fearful, and unsure. It segregates humanity falsely, preserves collective prejudice, obscures individual variety, and compounds folly.

We have several. We have my brother's flag that was draped on his coffin when he was buried. We have my step-father's flag that was draped on his coffin when he was buried. We have a flag that we kept in the Band Hall, that was given to me when we closed down the base in Berlin. We have the one that my mother bought us because she felt we should have one to display on the house during patriotic holidays. The local Lion's club also comes around and puts flags in front of the houses during Patriotic holidays as well, which makes the whole town look pretty festive. My Country is the United States of America.
