If it is only occasionally, you can use NyQuil to help you get to sleep. It comes in a liquid form.
BTW if you ever need a prescription, many drugs come in liquid form, just ask your doctor. I have a friend who has a problem with swallowing pills too.

Lavender oil. If you can handle the smell of it, it is very relaxing. A lot of people like the smell but some don't.
Benedryl makes a liquid medication that is sold over the counter. This will knock out most people I know who are having problems falling asleep. If you can't take that, try the melt in your mouth benedryl. Just be sure to read the directions and folllow them.Good luck.

Many non-prescription meds come in chewable or drinkable forms. Ask your pharmacist, if you have trouble finding them, or are unsure of the mgs. you need to take.
I'm not clear on what type of non-prescription med you are looking for. For aches/pains/fever? You can email me if it is for something else--I can find out what's available.

I think you need to complete the question. There are a lot of medicines you don't have to swallow. It all depends what you need it for, like the other person said.

Chammomile tea believe it or not.
Melatonin comes in liquid form. Go to a health food store for this.
Don't try the sleeping pills they make you too groggy in the morning. Unless you take them really early.
Good luck.

Nineteenth century occultist Helena Petrona Blavatsky swore by a puppy poltice. This involves wrapping a puppy to the affected area. I've never known anyone who's tried it, though, so I don't know.

I don't know if you could possibly find Melatonin in another form besides a pill but it works and is naturally occuring in our bodies so you won't have to worry about becoming an addict! other things that help me are meditation, sleepytime tea, accupuncture (for sleep) and not to eat or exercise close to bed time!!!
