Ok.. A d and c is not an abortion. I lost my baby due to a missed miscarriage...the baby stopped growing.

Yeah, I had a d & c and the dr. told me the only reason he likes women to wait at all is so that he can track the dates better based on your last period. But, I got pregnant 2 weeks later and everything went wonderfully and I have a healthy 2 month old baby girl! Good luck!

well sorry about your loss. As far as safe it's up to you to decide if you are ready to have a baby now. I got pregnant after a d&c and one month period. It was not what I wanted to do, but it just happened and I couldn't be happier. I am 32 weeks and ready for my baby to come home!!! Just take it easy and it will happen for you. Sometimes when you have a miscarriage it means something is wrong and when I had mine I thought that it was me, when that baby was due I was very sad and depressed for a while, but I had to get on with my life because I am carring a new life and need to concentrate on it. So good luck and keep trying!

I had a D&C after my miscarriage as well and was told to wait until two normal cycles. But if you are already pregnant than congratulations and good luck! And make sure you get in to see the doctor!

Most of us know what a d&c is, and yes, its safe as long as the dr says so, they usually say to wait 1-2 periods.
