Well, you could take her to a salvage yard. Try and find a car like hers and then look at what's left of it. That's one way. There also used to be some gory movies that were made by the Ohio State Police boys and that was an eyeopener. They were so gory that a lot of people threw up while watching them, so they quit showing them at traffic school. Stories sometimes hit the mark, but a lot of the time it is forgotten soon afterward. Some people have even taken a trip to the morgue to get the point across.

I have lost friends and came extremely close to losing my own life driving while too tired. Spent 6 months in a hospital before I was released and nearly a year before I was back together. I was the lucky one, too.

Good luck, and if all else fails, then yank the keys.

Don't tell her a story. tell her the truth: If she's caught driving without a licensed adult, she'll have an extra long wait until she gets her license. Also "speed kills" (I know it's trite, but it's also true!)

If she doesn't listen, at least you tried. If she's old enough to get a license, she should act mature enough to realize there are consequences to her actions. I just hope and pray that she doesn't have an accident and kill herself or, worse yet, some poor innocent person!

Where are her parents during all of this behavior, by the way? Maybe you should talk to them and let them know that she's abusing the privilege (yes, I said, "privilege") granted to her by the State in allowing her to apply for a license to operate a motor vehicle and the State granting it (provisionally)? If she won't abide by the State's guidelines, maybe her parents have some influence or control over her behavior (although it sounds as if they do not!).

Good luck!

well, a horror story wont help much, if you need some go to the local fire department someone there has pulled a burned body out of a car... thats scary. but what actually helped me in my reckless days was to learn to ride a bike... in order to survive or your motorcycle you need to pay closer attention to other drivers and conditions... if you can beat into her head that she needs to look for the possible situations before she gets into em that could help. there may even be a few books in the bookstore on learning to drive...
