George Galloway is a self serving hypocrite. Having been thrown out of the Labour Party, he clings to his job as an MP by creating his own political party "Respect".

The people of Tower Hamlets, Galloway's constituency, are poorly served by this fat vain big-mouth.

The House of Commons and parliament as a whole, pays scant attention to small political parties and independents. It works based upon the might and power of major political parties and their allies.

Galloway is not doing anything for Tower Hamlets but he is doing a lot for himself.

I think he's been misrepresented by the mainstream media. He's obviously a law unto himself, made some very poor decisions with his celebrity profile, has more than a touch of arrogance and lacks diplomacy. I would never vote for him for the same reasons (albeit different politics) I'd never vote for Boris Johnson. That said, I have an admiration for the maverick in party politics and he's certainly that !

He was supporting Saddam when he was slaughtering whole villages of Kurds in northern Iraq with poison gas bombs, so any claim to have an interest in human welfare is hypocritical. I have notice a tendency amongst the left to only be interested in human rights if it serves some anti-western propaganda purpose, so any brutal dictator who is anti-American can torture and murder to his hearts content without so much as a raised eyebrow from these loony left human rights hypocrites

He is a good man, who fights noble causes.

I firmly believe the stuff about him profiting from Saddam's regime was a campaign of defamation & slander by the British & Americans because of his very vocal opposition to the war, as he proved when he embarressed the US Senate.

While his new celebrity status decisions (BB) are a little questionable, his principles are right.

I wouldn't trust him an inch. He bullied several people and just talked at them when he was in the Big Brother house. I didn't know what to think before I saw him on there but since then I wouldn't give him the time of day. A nasty self-aggrandising little man.

He's not bad, he's strong and stands up for what he believes in. I just think he's too pro-islam. He probably regrets being White and wishes he could be an Asian muslim. I don't like the ideas that he has that the Iraqi people didn't hate Saddam Hussain and his backing of the Palestinians when they are the 1's who should be forced out of the Gaza Strip and the West Bank because the Israelians were given this land by god.
