TAKE IT TO A PAWN SHOP AND WHAT THAY OFFER YOU FOR IT TIMES IT BY 5 AND YOU WILL GET YOUR PRICE

Everything is worth what you pay for it ...

If you can convince some Insurance Company that you will take up their Policy you might be able to take it somewhere for a 'free' valuation .. (they will exaggerate the price so you pay more for the Policy)

If we are talking larger items (furniture) maybe you can convince some Auction House you are thinking of selling it - so can they send some-one round ?

Of course the REALLY sneaky way is to put it up for Auction on eBay ... then just before (or even after) the Auction ends tell the winner that it's been stolen / lost / damaged :-)
[you will still have to pay listing fees and you may still get some Negative feedback]

Go on one of those programs.
Or you can always use ebay. See if they got something similar for sale and if they do use the price as a guide.
