The reason they dislike Ron Paul is because that is what the media spins things to be. They think he is "extreme" but it is actually the opposite, our government and republican candidates running are extreme and out of line with the American constitution. There isn't a more honest or better candidate but unfortunately people will always defend what Sean Hannity or O'Reilly's views are. THey are neo-con cheerleaders if you ask me.
Sadly, the American people are too blind to see past the media and big money. They think they have a real "choice" when it comes to democrats and republicans. THe truth is Hillary, Obama, Giuliani, Edwards, McCain, Romney, and Fred Thompson are all members of the CFR. They pretty much have the same goal when it comes to the future of this country, more money spending, more government programs, more control, and a common goal for SPP and a North American Union.
Anyone who says he is a nutjob is just attacking his character because they can't fight the facts.
He has never voted to raise taxes.
He has never voted for an unbalanced budget.
He has never voted for a federal restriction on gun ownership.
He has never voted to raise congressional pay.
He has never taken a government-paid junket.
He has never voted to increase the power of the executive branch.
He voted against the Patriot Act.
He voted against regulating the Internet.
He voted against the Iraq war.
He does not participate in the lucrative congressional pension program.
He returns a portion of his annual congressional office budget to the U.S. treasury every year.
Congressman Paul introduces numerous pieces of substantive legislation each year,

Biggest reason? They don't want to admit they are off track.
Ron Paul is a legitimate Reagan conservative in a party of people who long ago gave up real conservative principles in exchange for a Woodrow Wilson-Lyndon Johnson foreign policy and a Washington culture based on wild spending and lobbyists issues. They've forgotten what conservative means, and yet they continue to use the word.
Sadly, if they don't wake up to how far they've gone astray, I think this year will be one of the biggest losses since McGovern or Dukakis. Ron Paul might just have a chance going up against the Democrats, but I don't think any of the other candidates really even GET what's wrong and will sound foolish trying to sell the public on "stay the course". No, I take that back. I think Newt Gingrich gets it, but he's probably not going to run, and even if he did, he's got too much baggage to win the general election.
And, yes, his voting record is horrible. He votes against taxes AND spending! We can't have that, can we? Sheesh. Grow up!
I think some of these people are so focused on Iraq that they've lost touch with everything else. The candidates have no clue where the majority of voters are. The only possible chance the Republicans have is that the Democrats lost touch with the voters long ago. Still, if you're an independent, facing two candidates who are out of touch with reality, wouldn't you vote for the one that's different than what you've just had? So, regardless of what you think about Dr. Paul's opposition to the war, give this some thought. Would you rather have President Paul or President Hillary?

because of the corporations and lobbies funding the other candidates. Haliburton, Bechtel, Blackwater (private contractor)...will loose money if Ron Paul wins. There's a lot of money in war. Every time a tanks blown up, someones gotta replace it....every bullet thats fired someone needs more ammo. We all know about not just the Bush family, but the entire Oil Tycoon....there's a lot of money in flying jets 24-7 and running tanks 24-7. Can you imagine the amount of FUEL this war is costing? And finally, Ron Paul wants to pull troops out of the Middle East, and leave Iran - Syria & Venezuela alone.....Israel won't like that, and A.I.P.A.C, and Zionism in general.....run this country. *dont say I'm anti-semitic - There's tons of honest Jews that despise Zionism too*!!!!!

I can't understand, for the life of me... why anyone would vote for any other candidate besides Ron Paul. It's like they have blinders on or something. Anyone who has truly sat down & listened to Ron Paul & all other candidates can see that he is the most sincere of the bunch. He is "for" the American people. He is talking peace not war. He wants to bring our troops home. He wants to put a stop to illegal immigration. I am strongly against both issues (the war in Iraq & illegal immigration). All of the other candidates are against 1 issue but not the other. I have to go with Ron Paul as my vote. He is the best possible chance for America's survival.

Because neo-cons (a form of fascist) took over the party about a decade ago, and Paul threatens their stranglehold on America. See the signatures at the bottom of the document below.

I question your statement! Most Republicans I have talked with either don't know him or are solidly behind him. His truth is a real breath of fresh air after all the lies from the CFR controlled scumbags! Why would you think that abolishing the IRS would have any effect on this country other than totally positive? All of our tax money collected goes into the Federal Reserve treasury and immediately on to the World Bank and IMF. It is totally used to pay interest on the national debt! Our government runs on more borrowed money!
The good Dr.'s truth scares the bejesus out of the international bankers and their corporate minions! Is it any wonder they are throwing millions at the CFR globalist scumbag Clinton and funding a massive disinformation campaign against the Dr.
The Good Dr. can win this country back to the people and back to a constitutional republic it once was. We can reclaim the title of the freest and most respected country on earth as we once were.

It's not the Republicans who dislike Dr. P, it's the MSM who tell the public that we shouldn't like the wonderful Dr. P. Unfortunately, people in this country have been brainwashed into thinking they aren't allowed to think for themselves and when someone as awesome as Dr. P comes around and wants to drag our country out of the pit our previous administrations (several of them) have dug, the MSM and those who own them (Rudy for one) tell us, "NO, you can't like him. He's EVIL" so the brainwashed public believe them. Me, I know how to think for myself. Dr. Ron Paul for President!!!

The Republican party resents Ron Paul for the same reason the Democratic party resented Ralph Nader's running in the 2000 election: neither candidate can draw enough votes to win, but just enough to cause their respective party to lose. That's what happened to Al Gore. It's called political pragmatism.

Simply because he tells the truth and that irks all republicans because they love a lier. Also they talk about Ron Paul as if they have actually researched the man but really they are just going on what they have been told by the next retard who has the same lying affinity as themselves.

The neo-cons don't like him because he will change the status quo and take the power away from the politicians and give it back to the people.
That is the bottom-line.
