Some place that is not expensive

But just a normal place to eat at the same time, very relaxing and comfortable

I don't want to take her on a date where i feel uncomfortable.

Olive Garden is a great place that says "we're on a date" but not super expensive. Cheesecake Factory is another good place. If you have a place that is like the hot spot where you are, i.e. DC has its Georgetown, then you could find a nice inexpensive place to take a young lady into that maybe has some jazz music or nice music in the background. Really, it is going to depend on the girl. I know women who wouldn't date a guy who'd take them to any of those places on a date. They demand that if he is really interested, he'll treat them special and go all out. I think they are right not too. I would never tell a guy where to take me on a first date at this point because I want to see his plan and his thoughts on my worth so make sure you represent her worth in your eyes. But I'm over 30 so my expectation is higher at this stage.

Don't take her some place that you will both feel and look like a fish out of water. She will pick up on those vibes, and think you and the evening both suck. Take her somewhere though, where there are table clothes on the table. She'll like that. If you can, go there a day or so ahead and look over a menu so you will not be shocked by the prices. You can then get an idea of what kind of atmosphere the place has and don't forget to make a reservation.

The in between places. You know like Chili's Black-eyed Pea - In between the fast food and the marriage proposal spots.

Don't overlook the fun places though. Every town has it's eateries with character. Where I live there is a great hamburger and more place in the cool area of town and the fun thing is that they give you a bowl of peanuts in shells and you are SUPPOSED to throw the shells on the floor. It has great music too - making it okay to not talk constantly.

Good luck and have fun!

Go with a picnic.

What can be cheaper than a dinner you cooked yourself? Besides you'll get bonus points if you are a good cook.

You get to pick the location, a nice park or somewhere on the water.

Your outside, where it is quite. (More bonus points if there is a clear sky.)

Bring some candles, a nice bottle of wine (or something that sparkles if alcohol isn't your thing). Do most of the cooking at home, but bring some things to make there.

Is there a locally owned place in your city, like a small business, that makes outstanding gyros and bubble tea or the queso in town? Go somewhere with a cool, laid back atmosphere. I am thinking you are young-ish, so a cool cafe, not a Chili's atmosphere where kids are screaming and a bunch of people are talking over each other. Just like a cool diner.

Let me tell you, like many others have already, Applebees will get you to the apple of the woman you want. All ladies I've ever been out with love going there-it's something about that place that gets things poppin'-and it's for the everyman's budget for the most part-good luck!

Well, that would depend on where you live. The olive garden is a good place ~ not too expensive. We have a TGIFridays and it's good also. I would ask her when you pick her up what kind of food she likes, then go from there.
