MORE federal control?
Less Local Control?

Why would ANYONE vote to have the Federal Government more in charge than it already is, thus taking away power from the states?

why would anyone support people in WASHINGTON making laws and decisions about what goes on in your own little community? Don't you want Local control? That way, if you don't like the laws.. you can just move to a different state....

I think people want the government to take care of their whole lives. Censorship so they don't have to protect their kids, social security so they don't need to worry about saving (SS won't work for long), health care so they don't need health insurance, laws on drugs and alcohol so they...I don't know why. Etc. It's stupid. I'd rather have a free life than one where the government, or anyone else for that matter, wipes my *** for me. Local governments are more effective. There isn't and shouldn't be a one mold plan that accomodates the whole country.

P.S. You're pretty.

The neosocialists and bleeding heart liberals have not the ability to take control of their own lives and make day to day decisions...they still need mommy to take them by the hand, this the driving force behind these poor little people to elect those that will play mommy and dictate every facet of their lives...sad but true.

I don't think people really think out the long term effects of things. Many people want a government that insures their well being for life without thinking of the loss of personal liberty that goes with it. Sad but it seems to be the way we are going.

I believe that people have this idea from childhood that someone needs to protect them and keep them safe.

Some people turn this over to god, some turn this over to government and some turn it over to both.

People feel that giving up freedom in return for safety is worth it.

Thomas Jefferson said it best in the federalist papers ,

"People who would sacrifice freedom for safety deserve neither"!

Because they don't trust the people's judgement. They believe in "Authority"- & that IT "knows better" than the common man. (!) It kinda shows you just how insecure THOSE people are. :) "We the people..."- includes some STRANGE dudes...
