If i put copper pennies into an empty coke can, will it they corrode?

If the can was tipped back empty, a few might get stuck to the bottom of the can due to the sugar water and also get discolored a bit by reaction with the remaining acid. But, overall, the pennies will be fine - not collector quality.

Coke is not good for coins and I am not sure if you can get all the coke out. Coins can tarnish in aluminum for it is not inert. Wrapping coins in aluminum foil is not a good idea. Copper cents may not corrode any more than normal, but they will tarnish. Modern copper cents actually start to corrode the day they are minted due to the zinc under the copper. Use glass with a tight seal, better yet is inert plastic coin tubes.
