Being honest means not hiding the things that are most important and that affect the both of you. I don't think it would be wise to let your spouse know what kind of love positions you and the ex used to do. But when it consists of jobs, money, intimacy between the two of you, children and your longterm goals, you might want to throw everything on the table. If he is doing something wrong tell him. If you are wrong, than say so. Don't ever feel like you can't talk to your spouse. If the ex calls you just to say hi, you might want to let him know what happened and explain that you told him never to call again. It is really all about common sense and judgement. If you live your life that way, you are sure to make your relationship work. If he doesn't buy it, maybe it was never meant to be. If he loves you he will listen to you and what you have to say, take it into consideration and than move on. Good Luck!!!

You have to have trust, honesty, respect for each other, and love in a relationship. There are other factors to, but without these what is the sense if having a relationship? I mean if your spouse or boyfriend/girlfriend is dishonest with you about something and you find out aren't you going to be hurt? Then the next time they tell you something aren't you going to question if they are lieing to you again? No matter what the secret is it will eventually come out wheter you want it to or not somewhere down the road. It's better to be honest with them and yourself then to waste time wondering what they would do or say if they find out...or put yourself through the added stess of keeping that secret from them. Put it all out there on the line be truthful with them.

Good Luck

Honesty is the best policy, as Karma always comes back to bite us in the rumproast anyways. I'd rather the truth come from me, than a spiced up story from some loser that wants to make it worse than it was. HOWEVER, the exception to this rule would be something from your far away past that you've never done again, nor would do....and was BEFORE you hooked up with this person. (Unless it is medical and could kill them too, like AIDS) Some things are better left in the dark crypt they came from if it has nothing to do with NOW.

If you tell 1 lie you will end up telling many many more to cover that 1st one up. Honesty is the best policy!

Honesty is ALWAYS the best policy! Lies always have their own way of coming out and biting you in the ***. If you really love and respect someone you owe it to them to be completely honest.

Yes, you are best to be honest. The only exception would be when answering questions like, 'does this make me look old?', 'how does the yard look?', 'did the roast taste overdone to you?' , and things along those lines. Anything less only leaves room for speculation and suspicion which will crumble the relationship.

Most of the time..it all depends on the lives we live. Example..when i come home from work and the standard "how was your day" is asked..I don't want to tell my wife about the A##H### that I arrested for beating his wife, or the dead body I had to look at. Most of the time I just say "it was ok"..that's not being honest but why would I want my wife to hear such details.

Honesty is way over rated in marriage. There are things we just shouldn't share.
