If we had a confidence system like in Britain Israel & japan we could make a vote of no confidence and revoke him. You can even try a contrywide recall too, but the country doesnt have the intellegence to do it & that's why the electorial college was established which negates the popular vote so basically in some ways the president is set up to by like a king

If it were so easy to have a President that could be fired we would have a new one every week. How about that for an answer. Would you prefer to live some place like Cuba where it is not a 4 year term and you have no say in electing who will be in there for 4 years. They are stuck with Castro till he dies then they are going to get his brother who is just like him. I think people are to start being more greatful. I did not like Clinton at all, I was actually appauled by him but the majority of my fellow Americans voted for him and my complaints about him did nothing so personally I feel slamming the leader of my country is a waste of time because nothing will be done. Show me 1 president that got 100% of the electoral votes. I do think however that people ought to get over the recount thing because he won the next election and that just goes to show the first one was a win to. It was 8 stinkin years ago for goodness sakes and he is out of office in a matter of months so I dont know why people cant get over it already. Just wait and see what comes next year. We may have a woman running our country. Lets see all the crap that spew with that.

This is what is wrong with our nation being a republic! We have a representative form of government! It means even without a popular vote a POS like george can be elected! I want to know why a recall vote hasn't taken place yet? There should be a National Initiative that will make sure his kind never set foot in the Oval Office again! His administration has clearly shown the flaws in our form of government. This is further proof why Gravels National Democracy Initiative must be voted upon by the public at large!

Unfortunately without impeachment proceedings were stuck with him. I think it is so funny when people bring up Bill Clinton's dalliances and impeachment. I forget the name for this flaw in logic but arguing that Bush is ok bc "just look at what bad Slick Willy did" doesnt make sense-- we're talking about Bush here. Just to clarify, Bush technically was elected only once by the popular vote. I and many others never wanted him to be president in the first place. I truly think he is doing an abysmal job. The damage that he has done to the US, especially in terms of deficit spending and international relations will be felt for years to come.

The President of the United States can not be fired. The President is elected to fill a four year term, and can be elected to fill a second four year term. Once elected, he can not be removed during the term by the voters.
The President's term may end by death. The President may resign. Or the President may be removed by Congress for committing high crimes and misdemeanors. To be removed, first the House of Representatives must vote to hold an impeachment trial, then the Senate must conduct the trial and convict him with a two-thirds majority.

How can congress still be congress if their approval rating is lower than the presidents?
America elected Bush twice. America still has faith in Bush. Don't believe everything you hear on the news. The media cares more about their political agenda rather than getting the truth to the people.
If the president does bad things, then he can be impeached. Like former president Clinton...he slept with his secretary in the oval office.
The president (Bush) did what was in the best interest of this country and this world. We must go after terrorists. We must defeat them or else we will be over run.

because USA is a democratic country where elections are held every 4 years. He was voted in by the American people and he has the right to complete his term of office unless he breaks the law of the land. 29% popularity could mean the Democratics will beat the Repulicans in your next election. Hope so then maybe our Aussie gov't will change too.

When you vote for someone to elective office, you're stuck with them until their term is over (& you vote again). He could have an approval rating of 1%- & he'd STILL be serving his term. THAT'S why it's SO important that people REALLY check out WHO they're voting for. It's kinda like when you go out to buy a car, by George... -If you go by the "flash", you could end up with a "lemon". :)

This is democracy.. deal with it.. I'm not happy with him either but it's not enough to Impeach the guy.. and he knows it too that's probably why he doesn't care about public opinion these days... He's probably thinking.. what are the gonna do? not elect me again.. my 2 terms are up.
