the national championship college team...the worst NFL team are not the worst for nothing!

LOL, I have to think the worst NFL team would still win the game, although if they played a series of games I'm sure the college team could take a game once in a while. The talent on the worst NFL team is far superior to that of the best college team. Only a few guys on the college team will end up making the league, let alone start, and the bodies on the NFL team will be more developed and stronger, not to mention their experience. That being said, there's one intangible- something that the NFL team lacks and the NCAA team has: chemistry. This would be the only reason the NCAA team could win a game, and this is why I think they'd take one here and there. Great question.

Did you know that years ago the NFL champion of the previous season would play the college all stars of the previous season? The game was a preseason game called the Chicago All-Star game and the last one was played in July of 1976. The NFL champion dominated the college all stars in the series, winning 31 of 42 matches (the college guys won 9 and there were two ties), including the last 12 and 16 of the last 17. Since it was a preseason game, it was basically the College All-stars who were about to become rookies versus the NFL champions' incoming rookie class. The NFL champion gave their worst effort (cause it's the preaseason!) and the college guys still couldn't beat them.

So, based on history, the worst NFL team would win against the National Champion of college football.

You play ten games - WORST TEAM in the NFL plays BCS NATIONAL CHAMPIONS - the pros win all ten games by an average of 30 or more points.

The college team if they are REALLY great will have 6 NFL quality players - MAYBE 8 All Americans.

The NFL team ALL the players were stand out college players. 95% were All Americans.

There are 117 big time college teams with about 6,500 players. About 220 each year actually make an NFL rooster. And only about 150 will get major NFL playing time.

College teams do not have enough talent or depth.

Easily The worst NFL team will win against the national champions. Even though they are bad in the NFL, there still a lot more skilled, complex, and experienced then a college team. Every single person in the NFL has talent, its a matter of harnessing that talent, and translating it to the Pro game's speed, intensity and complexity; that's why you see so many "cant miss" prospects in college flop at the NFL level.

The NFL team would destroy the college team. A National Championship team will have a handfull of guys that will make a big impact in the NFL and most the rest of the guys will never even sniff an NFL locker room so they wouldn't stand a snowballs chance in hell against a pro team.

I’d like to believe that the pro team would win.
Even the worst player on the worst team has achieved pro status so even if the team is composed of the worst players in the NFL; they are all pros and should have the ability and expertise to beat a college team.
But in this day and age, there are many pro like college teams because of the coaching staff so I would imagine that a championship college team would be no less the equal of the pro team with the worst record.
While we answer this question, let us not forget that the pro team with the worst record is playing other PRO TEAMS.

Too bad they don't do it anymore; it used to be fun. Before the NFL got so greedy, when I was a Little kid, there was an all star game in August. It was the college all stars vs the best NFL team from the year before......this was pre-superbowl. The NFL won about 8 out of 10 games.

The NFL team would beat the crap out of them in every part of the game. They're in the NFL for a reason. The college team couldn't stay within 20 points.

Pro team hands down. The National Championship team will have at most 10 or 12 guys make a pro roster and most of them will be lucky to be in the league 3 or 4 years.

All of the guys on the pro team are, well, on a pro team.

If it was this year, the Raiders would win because They have former College stars on there team. Robert Gallery is one of the worst Tackles in the NFL but was the outland winner in college. THe Pro Team would kill them every year except for maybe 2005 Texas vs the Texans. Vince Young would shred Houston just like he did in his rookie year. Most of the time though the pro team would win.
