From Bill O'Reilly: In my opinion, CNN and especially MSNBC delight in showing Iraqi violence because they want Americans to think badly of President Bush.

I actually think its the opposite. I think that CNN and MSNBC and especially Fox have been way too uncritical of the president and this disaster in Iraq. Its very obvious that Iraq is a mess and that it has been getting worse. We're in another Vietnam. The best thing we ever did in Vietnam was pull out because we're now getting along fine with the Vietnamese and they're a great trading partner and friend to American businesses (Made in Vietnam is only behind Made in China for clothing tags these days). Why not leave Iraq and allow them to fix their own problems? That's what we should have done when we tossed Saddam from power (whether or not we should have done that is debatable, especially since he never attacked us and he was a strong opponent of Al-Qaida).

Now the media is uncritically promoting war with Iran. They fail to mention that the Iranians thought that Fahrenheit 9/11 was anti-American and were disgusted by it. The Iranian People disapprove of that buffoon they call their president more than Americans disapprove of Bush or Congress (which is saying something). Iranians are sick of being poor because of his Keynesian economic policies (you know, the welfare state policies that the Democrats and RINO Republicans love, even though they increase poverty and slow growth).

Reagan was right when he said that we don't understand the irrationality of Middle Eastern politics and that we should stay out of it. The Bushes would have done well to heed his advice. We aren't serving America's interests by waging war in the Middle East. Aggressiveness is not the solution, it is the problem. This is the type of thing the Democrats do on guns or 'mental health' whenever there's a school shooting. They propose to escalate the policy that caused the problem (thus making the problem worse), rather than repeal the policy.

Yes, so much they are nearly unwatchable today. And the ratings are there to prove it.

Last time I watched Chris Matthews was three years ago during the 2004 elections. He had no problem asking tough questions of the Bush camp and the Bush camp had no problem answering.

He came across as Kerry's minion, though, when it came time to interview Kerry, and gave Kerry a pass on nearly bullcrap answer, and just fawned over him. That is where Softball became unwatchable and boring, and I could not watch MSNBC anymore.

There really is no reason to show violance in iraq, it doesn't prove anything only to make it look as if we are "losing" or getting our asses kicked in Iraq. Even though americans died and its quite a shame they are but there arn't many that have died compared to wars in the past. America needs this war, who makes all the equipment for the American war machine? American workers, also its freeing a people from a terror regime, I say within 5 years Iraq will be on the path to recovery and in 30 years we can hopfully see another Japan or Germany, very successful nations that were occupied by America after a war. So lets not just look at the bad in this war and say we are losing but look at the good and what good it will bring to the world and the people in the Middle East.

Contrary to what you and Bill O'Reilly seem to think, CNN does not have a political agenda of any kind. They delight showing anything that will get them ratings. They covered Paris Hilton's jail stunts all day a few days ago. You gonna tell me theres a political agenda in that? They cover whatever they think people are going to want to watch. Its all about money. Ratings-whores dont have agendas.

O'Reillys a smart guy, but hes got an ego the size of Texas, and that messes with him on occasion. His delusional paranoia about "liberal conspiracies" against him and conservatives are just ridiculous and its hard to take him seriously when he goes off on anti-liberal rants. The rest of the time though hes not a stupid guy. Its just the ego that messes him up.

Bill O'Reily???

Bill O'Reilly???

Seriously.

When the administration made the media not show the coffins coming home on TV, why do you think that happened?

Too extreme a perspective I think.

Well if you read the news report out this week about the lack of iraq coverage by the Fox news network.

You might have missed another part of that same report.

that ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN and MSNBC

All report negative stories from Iraq 85% of the time, and only report positive stories , just 15% of the time.

Now the left thinks thats fair and balanced !!!!!

CNN and MSNBC are reporting EXACTLY what's going on in Iraq. They don't show delight in airing Iraqi violence. Nobody shows delight in it. But they're reporting the truth. The truth is that violence and murder has gone up in Iraq.

However, you won't hear a word about Iraq and those that're dying there from FOX News or Bill O'Riley. No, because that'd mean that Conservatives are wong, and God knows that's too much for their so-called "moral ears".

Yes they do. How boring to watch footage of the new hosiptals, or the new schools, or maybe watch their soccer team go through drills at the new soccer stadium. No one wants to see the new open air market and the new free enterprise that have come to light! God, what are you thinking!

Society in general are more likely to watch bad things happen to people than good things. I liken it to Greek tragedies.
