If you are bereft of ideas then drawing a landscape is not for you.
It takes time to draw a good landscape and really your heart needs to be in it.
There are alternatives, maybe you would be happier with a town-scape or street scene. Start with what you are familiar with. There is probably a park or open space near you that you could utilities, so that you could approach a more traditional landscape. The important thing is to be able to portray life as you know it and experience it.
Finally it doesn't have to be as it is. A camera is for that. John Constable moved the set about quite a bit and copies of his paintings are popular.

I'd have to agree with Scottish Football on this one. Imagine a place where you'd want to live or at least visit for awhile. Some of the best landscapes are those that only exist inside your dreams. Have you ever dreamed of a place that just felt like you should be there but you weren't exactly sure why? It's hard to remember all the details when it happens but it makes for some interesting artwork. I never got around to drawing mine yet. It's a cave above the ocean with my own private beach below.

Start with the objects in the distance or background and work your way throught to objects closest to you in perspective.
Think about the time of day you want to portray and the mood, maybee even the season, think about the style, maybee use your favourite artist as inspiration for the style or mood. i love drawing fantasy landscapes straight from my head, like imagining what its like on a far away planet and make it up as i go along taking inspiration from all around me.
Im babbling! hehe hope this helps.

I myself love the fantasy landscapes....like being on another planet for example. I think that just about every possible landscape here on earth has either been drawn or photographed already.

Take a look in Images. Search for landscapes and you'll have an idea of what to bring together on paper.
