I read all the time. It's not just relaxing but it gives your mind the ability to dream while you're awake.

Ok lol when you said "All the teenagers I have talked to have said they havn't read a book since they were 5", thats bull donkey.Thats totally not true unless they don't go to school because when your in like 4th or 5th grade you read as a group sometimes and you take turns. They just want to show off and say they havn't read a book to look cool. Most of them do they just don't say they do because they think they'll look foolish trust me im 15 my friends always say that lol.
Vote best plz =)

they haven't read a book since they were like 5? Wow, when I was a kid we learned to read at 6, didn't have to do book reports for school till we were 15. Give them time.
These days there's a lot on the internet they could or should be reading and learning, and it's sad (from your statement) to hear that they aren't taking advantage of one of the best educational tools they have. Frankly I'd be curious as to just what they are doing if they aren't reading.

I do, children are not taught the importance of books and reading. They have become so used to the 20-30 second soundbyte that they don't realize that reading sets the foundation for excellent study skills and a broad knowledge base.

I just scan the pages really quick but don't actually read word for word. But yeah I "read" for the hell of it about 20 books a week.

I read books all the time. Even though I'm no longer a teen, I used to read books back then too.

im a teenager. All my friends are like proud of themselves if they read a magazine. I love reading, it's a great thing to do when your bored, and it really is fun. Im bored easily with books, so when I read it has to be something scary!

I must admit that I usually only read books when I'm lying on a sunbed on holiday or I'll read a few chapters to try to help me sleep.
I like to get right into one with no distractions and it's hard with the job and hours I do.
