What kind of jobs do not require you to speak to anyone?

I've worked in retail for a number of years and I'm sick and tired of small talk B.S. and I'm getting tired of "helping" customers. What kind of jobs are out there for people who just want to sit and do their work for their entire shift with little or no interaction with customers and/or coworkers. If that exists.

data entry. most office workers will leave you alone if you make it a point to tell them you're there to work, not make friends.

I just wanted to wish your mom good luck. As a stroke survivor this is the kind of job I have been looking for.....unfortunately it is difficult. I have seen advertised and considered scanning/filing computerized medical records though. She can try hospitals or large medical centers. Good luck.

try working as a stock person, or landscaping. there isn't that much interaction, but you'd still be helping customers. try a porter. they usually clean business and restaurants after the place is closed.
