What are some cheats for catching pokemon on Diamond and Pearl?

I don't think there are any cheats to catch it, but I have my own method that works really well!

First, lower its HP to critical (red) and paralyze it. Oh, and stock up on about 15 pokeballs, great balls, ultra balls, and dusk balls. After doing the first step, start throwing pokeballs, then great balls, then ultra balls. Use about 10 each before going on to a higher ball. The weaker balls will weaken the Pokemon.

And you can use Dusk Balls too, better if you use them at night or if its inside a cave. Press A rapidly when the ball is shaking too, it helps a lot!

I use this method all the time and I caught all the legendaries in Diamond except Nitendo Event Pokemon and Palkia!

Pokemon games don't have cheats to catching pokemon but a tip could be using a pokeball in the way it says in the description for example the dusk ball says it is most efective in dark places and the quick ball says to use it at the begining of a combat.So if your trying to catch a weak pokemon use a quick ball at the begining and if your trying to catch a very strong pokemon or a legendery I recommend to leave its health to a very small amount and the puting it to sleep and using the pokeball that most fit the most which could be a dusk ball,ultraball,timerball or the master ball.

if u are battleing a legendary always make sure u change it to night because i think dusk balls are better then ultra balls. Erh and this helps me or its just luck, sometimes i press b and down and for me it gets more chances. Another one is to press all the buttons (y,x,a and the other one) and move the arrows in a clock wise way

Always go at night to fight them since duskballs will be more effective.
Bring a good supply of timer balls and a way to prolong the battle.
Never hurts to try to use a Quick Ball at the start of the fight.
Bring lots of ultra balls.
And always have your fingers crossed.
