I don't see an equals-sign, so it's not an equation.

Do you mean:

(7x+3)/5x = (2x-1)/3x + 7

... or something like that?

Assuming that's it, multiply by 15x to get rid of all the denominators:

(7x+3)/5x = (2x-1)/3x + 7
3(7x+3) = 5(2x - 1) + (15x)(7)
21x + 9 = 10x - 5 + 105x
14 = 94x
x = 14/94 = 7/47

If this is an equation, then where is this sign: =?
Lastly, what does the phrase, " ...and i guess 1 for 7*" mean?
