One cannot. The moment that one mixes slightly soluble calcium sulfate with the freely soluble barium chloride, one will get a reaction to form very insoluble barium sulfate and calcium chloride. Of course, one could heat barium sulfate strongly with charcoal to form barium sulfide and carbon dioxide. BaSO4 + 2C ===> BaS + 2CO2. Barium sulfide is soluble in water. Then you mix BaS(aq) with a Cl- solution and crystallize out the BaCl2.
