BECAUSE that's only the manufacturer's opinion anyway?

I would admit that we do and it sometimes takes 3 times longer to put something together that it should and it often requires repeated applications of duct tape, ranting and raving, the use of language that would embarrass Rosie O'Donnell....but I am not going to. ;)

We WILL read the instructions, but not right away, and usually only as a last resort. Some guys will read the instructions before starting to put stuff together, but the rest of us don't invite them over to watch football anymore...

Why do we need to read instructions? We know how to fix, assemble, and build anything we put our minds to. Hahaha.

It's just a man thing, I will admit I almost NEVER read instructions, because I'm so handy of course, it's natural for us to know this stuff :D

When i got my weightlifting bench, i immedietly binned the packaging along with the instructions "who reads instructions!" It is now held held together with duct tape because ive given up trying to figure out what goes where. Please note i am a man and i still think i know better and will always think like this. I hope this helps in your quest for enlightenment.

Actually, I don't even think to look at the instructions until I have buggered the project up, cussed a blue river and thrown the thing into the nearest garbage bin I can find.

They never read instructions, period. My partner has just spent all evening trying to set up a new freeview box. I have missed a couple of programmes because he would'nt give in and read the blurb, saying that he was'nt an idiot. Yea, really

I actually read the instructions because it saves me getting nagged by someone else I have done it wrong.

Life is a lot easier if you follow the instruction.

Yeah it's true as us men hate reading instructions and feel as if we know what we are doing. It's our pride. It's the same as us not asking for directions when we're lost.

I only look at the instructions if i am really lost but most things are kind of common sense so why both?

True. Only as a last resort. When all else fails, read the instructions.

Actually they do usually read the instructions, but only after having tried to do it their way first.
