That certain people (names will be held to not incriminate the guilty) can sit at their desks, ask and answer questions all day long and STILL get paid for it? I am lucky to get 3 minutes to go to the restroom at my job.

It depends on the profession you're in. You probably love your fast paced job and would be bored at another but don't realize it.

Totally- but that is the nature of nursing- it never fails- the few times I have actually tried to get lunch- some dopey doc or family member calls and you just have to get the phone!
This is the most disgusting, dirty job!
I don't care what anyone thinks- yes it is noble and you have to be educated- but it is filthy and full of germs, blood, guts, puke, poop, and pee and I'm not into it anymore!!
Sorry for the rant.
It sure is unfair- and the nurse / client ratio is disgraceful!
The paperwork is disgraceful as well- all for monetary compensation.
They keep heaping it on, but expect all of that quality care to get done at the same time-the shift is supposed to be 8 hours, not 10.
If I were to do a med pass, following all of the MA state rules- I would be so far out of compliance, we would be cited and I would lose my RN!
I think it's because it's a female dominated profession-
and male-run corporate and non-medical drug companies are trying to squeeze blood from us "stones!"

It does suck, but at least you can go home knowing you have made a difference in someones life. At some point the net surfers will have their jobs eliminated because someone will open their eyes and see that their paychecks are a waste of money. No one will even miss them. You will ALWAYS have a job, and most of us appreciate the work you do.

Because they are probably shallow and unfulfilled, whereas you do a worthwhile job, and hopefully get a great deal of job satisfaction. Personally, I would get nothing from doing a "job" like that- I would be bored. Plus I hate sitting down, unless I'm eating. Think how big their bottoms must be from sitting on them all day!

My sister isn't allowed to drink or go to the bathroom except on her break. If she's lucky she can find someone to watch the bakery while she goes to the bathroom, but it's unlikely.
