1)is it illegal to get married before you are an adult..?
2) is it illegal to have sex before you are an adult.. if it is illegal to get married then why isnt it illegal to have sex?
what does the law say abt this, and what is ur OWN opinion???

In my opinion, what should the law say about sexual age of consent laws?
The issue really is, are you comfortable, curious, or coerced?
Eighteen and over know better than to prey upon the vulnerable under eighteen; the law does not stop them.
The society wants standards, and homogeneous members, so they arrive by mutual consent at agreements which hopefully contain the majority, (the mean plus or minus one standard deviation).
People are ready at different ages, as long as their partner is close in age, say two years or less, and there is not criminal intent; but adults are confused and uncomfortable in this country with the subject.
Zealous fear driven adults (pro-life, anti-abortion rights), law enforcement officers in need of an easy bust, and neighbors looking for gossip.
THEY ARE OUT THERE; grey area of the law, always use protection, trust no one.

You know the answer to that.
Though it may not be illegal to have sex after the age of 16, it isn't a license for those who are an adult to prey on you.
It isn't illegal in many states to be married before 18 with parental consent.
As I investigated child abuse for many years, I can tell you that there are many parents who would love to be able to get rid of their children at 16 and have no further responsibility. The truth is, you can't make good decisions about having sex, sometimes even after 18. If you could we would not have so many pregnancy terminations by children!
There are enough throw-away children in this country, we don't need more!

i do no longer condone this, yet it is not unlawful to have intercourse until now 18 as long because of the fact the guy you're having it with is below the age of 18. Now, maximum states have a statutory rape rules. i could seem into your states rules until now doing something. the reason the marraige regulation is eighteen (or w/ mom and dad permission if youthful), is by way of the fact that is been shown that a individual it mature sufficient to make their very own judgements at that age. wish i replaced into some help...

Well, you're allowed to have sex without being married. the two have nothing to do with each other, so your question doesn't make a lot of sense
I thought I did answer your question. Since you're allowed to have sex without being married, there's no connection between the age you have to be to get married and the age you have to be to have sex.

Because marriage is considered a legal contract. And you legally can not enter into any contract until you are 18 years of age.
