Most women gripe about gaining weight !!!

It's probably not a problem unless you are underweight to begin with. If you're normal or a bit overweight, this is fine. An overweight woman only needs to gain 15-25 pounds for the whole pregnancy, and an average woman needs to gain 25-35. Sounds like you just may be closer to the 25 side. I'm 25 weeks and I've just now hit 4 pounds over my prepregnancy weight. At 23 weeks I was 2 pounds under. About 6 pounds just came on in the last 2 weeks and I didn't do anything different...there are just a lot of changes going on in your body at different times. The weight will come. I promise. Ask your doctor just to be certain you're eating enough. But look on the bright side...you'll lose about 15-20 pounds in the delivery room and soon after birth (7 lbs baby, 2 lbs placenta, plus lots of fluid and blood...you'll continue to bleed and sweat A LOT after birth, which is okay, because your overall fluid level in the body increases 40% while pregnant, including the volume of blood in your system, and once all this has been sweated out and you've finished your postpartum bleed, about 5 more pounds will be off)...so the less you gain the less you have to lose! As long as you're healthy and baby is growing fine, consider it a blessing.

I just had my baby in April, and during my pregnancy I was frustrated at how little weight I was gaining b/c I wanted that huge prego belly. My doctor informed me that a lot of women don't gain much weight until the very end of the pregnancy, and some don't gain hardly any at all. It all depends on your genetics, body type, activity level (before and during pregnancy), and your metabolism. I didn't start gaining much weight at all until about my 7th month. I also lost about 8 pounds at the beginning, so no worries. It will come and you'll think back and wonder why did I want this weight so bad???

My pre-pregnancy weight was 120 at 5'6". I gained 2 pounds before I started with morning sickness then I lost them both. But now at 21 weeks I've finally put on 4 pounds at 124. I know the recommend weight gain is at least 10 pounds by now but I eat pretty well and my doctor isn't too concerned. If your baby is growing and doing fine I wouldn't worry.

im 23 weeks pregnant too, i suffered very bad morning sickness in the first few weeks and i lost about 6lbs,so since then and being pregnant i have not put on any weight whatsoever.(although fat has shifted around and i have a big belly) i was concerned but my dr told me as long as im eating well i'm fine and when i went for my last 20week scan they said the baby was perfect, normal size etc. Go back to your dr if your still worried and just make sure you are eating a really well balanced diet loads of fish, veg etc (oh and the odd bar of chocolate wont hurt you lol)

I lost weight the first trimester but Im 21 weeks and have only gained 4 lbs. You should ask at your next dr visit. But I'm BARELY showing and its getting annoying how everyone keeps tellin me how I dont look pregnant. I asked my dr about it and she said it was normal, she also said if you were in good shape before it takes a little longer to show. I'm kinda sad cause I dont really feel like anyone believes me lol but I can feel him kick though!!

I was like that in my last pregnancy. I ate everything in sight and did not gain an ounce, I also lost 15 lbs. I lost this weight because I stayed sick everything that I smelled made me throw-up I woke I was sick I went to bed I was sick and I was like this throughout my whole pregnancy.

The thing is I finally started gaining weight during my 7th month and my baby was born perfectly healthy. If you are concerned go talk to your doc and see what they have to say. All pregnancies are different

Remember your baby will take everything that it want to. My last pregnancy I lost 12 pounds and I ate and ate. If you are eating right don't worry. Babies are selfish and will take in all they need to grow. That is just what they do. You are probaly okay
