I want to buy a electric car. Can't wait till 2010. Any suggestions?

Depending on the size of your wallet, you may have to.

However, if it turns out you don't have to wait because of the weight, of your wallet, then you can buy a very snazzy all-electric very soon.

a battery electric car makes sense for the short trips less than 50 miles, and cost only pennies to recharge. the motor requires almost no maintenance except for brush change. as for batteries, lead acid cheap and easily recycled. ni-cads are expensive to recycle, nickel metal hydride and lithium ion require special charging systems. electric cars are usually charged during off-peak hours, so the pollution minimal. in my area we have hydro electric power. check out these sites

Hybrid for now. Honda and Toyota have them for around 24k. Not too shabby, al things considered.

why would you want a car that gets it's power from burning coal ? electric cars are bad bad bad for the environment..
