Rachel: Wrong on both numbers. Nearly all 6.6 billion DO live ON the world. The number who live underground, IN the world (which seems the only way your distinction makes sense), is not zero, but it's certainly not anywhere near half of us.

There are more people on this world than there are on say - the moon But there could be more people on Mars than there are on earth. Maybe!

the latest figure has not been published but it was 6.5 billion last count so i guess 7 billion????
