Okay, I have a forum where I organize a lot of video game tournaments and such. I have decided it's about time to buy a domain, but since I don't know much about domains and such I need help. What is a good place to buy from, and how do you get a forum to go along with it? Like say my site was called mcdonalds.com, how/where could i get a forum called mcdonaldsforum.com or mcdonalds.com/forum? (I am not actually calling my site mcdonalds, its just an example, hahaha.) If anyone could give me complete details, it wouldbe much appreciated. Thanks.

If you'll sign up with a gmail id, you can get Google Apps for My Domain (free) and set up a Google Group associated with your domain. A Google Group is essentially a forum. You may set up controls as to who is able to view, and who is able to moderate, and what are the topics, and so on. You can also set up the look and feel of the forum so that it looks somewhat like the rest of your website. There is also a heh heh discussion Group discussing issues related to others who have set up groups and their problems and toils in doing so...you can search through there to find solutions to questions you may have. Google also has extensive Help files to help you along the way... Hope this helps.

You can use:

GoDaddy.com
eNom.com (Best, I use them)
Domain.com
Register.com

Once you have a domain then you need to change the server information so that it knows where to send vistors.

If you have more questions them ask me.
