Yesterday, before I turned it off, the computer froze; but I managed to turn it off. Today, I could not turn it on completely. The internet connection is on; but as soon as the computer is turned on, a beeping noise is heard between intervals and the screen is not turned on at all. I would like some professional to advise me; I already have searched and it brought up that I need to replace something in my hard drive. I anyone needs more information, email me and I'll try to provide you with it if possible ASAP.

If the system just beeps and no image appears on the screen, chances are you've got RAM or video card failure. It could also be a motherboard problem, but since you're getting the beeps I think that's probably still ok.

Take it to a computer repair shop, they will be able to diagnose it. The good news is the data on your hard drive is probably unaffected by all this...

I just replaced a motherboard for a person. The board was not booting up video start up BIOS information. NO VIDEO AT ALL! Here are you choices: 1. Power surge damage to video chip or BIOS chip. 2. Motherboard overheat due to improper ventilation. This happen because of dust-buildup in case. All other parts work when tested. Replace motherboard. Re-validate Windows with Microsoft. Everything works fine.

The fan that cools the processing chip most likely needs to be replaced.

You may have a boot sector virus. If you have your system disks, I would suggest that you do a complete reinstall of your OS.

Good Luck
