No, you could not get a Panda for a pet.
First you would not be allow to take one out of the country and they are endangered and even if you smuggled one out of the country, you could not get it into the United States.
Yes, they are dangerous because they are bears but any wild animal is dangerous. Find you some type of domesticated animal. I suggest that you go over to the Humane Society on Snow Drive a adopt a cat or dog, there are so many pets that need a good loving home. But wait until you return from China. That was you can spend some good quality time with it.
As far as the Panda goes, visit it in China and the Atlanta Zoo also has some and you may be able to go to their website and click on their Panda cam and view them.
good luck

have you not heard that pandas are endangered species? of course china would not give you a panda for a pet. all the pandas in the world belong to china, really. that is a legal fact. you have to be a recognized zoo or conservationist for china to agree to loan you one. yes, all the pandas in the world's zoos are on loan from china. they are sweet and not dangerous but you are not allowed to have one as a pet. and stealing/sneaking one out of the country is not an option. the consequences would be really serious.

Well if you're going to China for a trip... how are you bringing it back here? Well I'm not sure if you can own one but if you can you'll need a bunch of papers and a license. They'll need to see your place for them and check if you have enough space, food, and if there are any dangers to the panda. Pandas are wild animals and wouldn't do well in a house. If you like them so much, go work at the zoo where they have them :D

pandas are on the endangered species list and would not be available for a pet. they only eat one kind of bamboo, which would make it hard to feed them. China rarely lets pandas leave the country, even to zoos, and under strict conditions.

No!! I think Panda bears are an endangered species. You couldn't have one for a pet!! Also, I don't think Pandas are viscious! It wouldn't kill you, unlike some bears!!

The Chinese government allows no Pandas to leave the country, except under loan to zoos as they are an endangered species. If you are caught smuggling one out they will put you in prison.Ask the World Wildlife Fund as that is part of their logo.(They raise money for endangered species)

You can't. The Chinese Government controls all the Pandas, and even the ones in US zoos are only on loan. Any babies born in captivity, even here in the US belong to China.

No, you cannot get a Panda as a pet. As far as I know, they are a protected species. They are not legal to have in your home.

There endangered species and I bet that they won't let you get a Panda Bear. But they might if you pay a pretty penny. But I think that it is now illegal to get Panda Bears. (Really)!!!

First of all, it's not okay. Second of all, it's not domesticated. You can't adopt a panda bear. That's illegal. The Animal Police would have to reprimand you if you did. Get a cat instead.
