I have found that most places that do this are in the west, (alot in Texas), but there should be some here in the Northeast. I am located in Connecticut. Any good ideas or experiences? Metro New York area would be perfect!! Thanks,,,

Contact your local scout office- they usually keep or publish a list of them. Also ask about Roundtables or other meetings leaders can attend to share information at.

To my knowledge, every Boy Scout Council has a Summer Camp program, where most Merit Badges can be earned. If that is not the case in your area, call (860) 289-6669, which is the phone number of the Connecticut Rivers Council 66.

As a scout myself, it is hard to find a counselor. The person teaching has to be a certified counselor in the Boy Scouts of America. That's not much, but maybe it will help a little.
