yes it is bad for preteens because they r still "new" to the internet. Let them become teens then use their wise discision making skills of their own. That site is too big for preteens because they still are not aware of all that is out there.

I believe MySpace is a bad site for anybody. Nobody's page follows any real design and layout rules, the thought of an online diary kinda ruins any meaning of privacy, all I've ever seen come from it is a bunch of drama from my friends, sex offenders are having a hay day on there, and hackers test out their new viruses on MySpace. I tried to give it a chance, but I couldn't find anything about it I liked.

Myspace gets a finished undesirable rap. Is television undesirable because of the fact HBO shows nudity and has swearing? Myspace has settings that may not enable human beings over the age of 18 to touch her. merely talk with your daughter and make it so which you're able to desire to approve your daughters profile and what she places on it. IE: no own information, no photographs... by capacity of conversing together with her you may set the limitations and enable her take area in something that her buddies are so she would not experience ignored.

No... Myspace actually takes many precautions to keep you as safe as possible. It really is up to you to make sure that you keep your valuable information private and safe. Predators and such don't get to all the kids... only the stupid ones...

I beleive it is bad for teens and young naive adults; it is a disaster for preteens.

Myspace itself is not bad.
However the users might be.

It depends on what you mean by "bad".
-Will it emotionally scar them for life? Probobly not.
-Will the be stalked, molested, raped, murdered? Not, as long as the user is educated on how to use it safely.
-Will people say mean things about them? Likely.
