I am very knowledgeable with general vehicle maintenance but these new vehicles have tighter bolts that I cannot manage to remove am I doing something wrong? I am trying to replace my front rotors.

no your not doing anything wrong, gm likes to use lock tight on these and thats why they are difficult to remove.
your just gonna have to nut up and pull a little harder. you may try to get 1/2 inch breaker bar, they are generally longer and it will give you some more leverage.

Use an ordinary houshold propane torch with MAPP gas if you can get some, and heat the IRON where the bolt thread is inside of. Be careful not to heat any rubber areas.

Heating up the metal around the threads with expand the iron, therefore allowing the bolt to come out easy.

The bolts are tight because they use lock tight on them, blue locktight, so just add a little more leverage, but when putting them back on clean the bolts and add some locktight

Put a pipe over the ratchet handle.

More leverage.

Remember righty tighty
Lefty loosy

Spray it with some WD-40 first then let it sit a few minutes

these may be reversed as left will tighten and right will loosen alot of brake calipiers are set up that way.

why are you doing it yourself?? a g6 should still be covered under warranty and rotors are a covered under that warranty
