I used to think good things only happen to other people, but then something brilliant happened to me, I got a job that I loved and that job contributed half of my study fees for university. That was a huge saving.

I have alot to be greatful for, I have a great daughter, she inspired a question I asked on here last night, "When was the last time you laughed so hard your stomach hurt?" She and I had been laughing so much earlier in the evening, I realized I really do have stomach muscles, lol. I may not have much job "stability" right now, but hey there are people a whole lot worse off than I am. At least I have a job! I have a roof over my head and that roof belongs to me (not the bank). I have a car that gets me to where I need to be. I have a wonderful and supportive family.

I guess, age and wisdom have taught me that the things that happen in our lives, happen for a reason, there is nothing you can do about it. The grass is not always greener on the other side, it may seem that way but it isn't.

This is a terrible question. Everything mentioned happens to me--gas, especially in church, falling in love--repeatedly (of course it always ends in tragedy), cancer (unfortunately) oh and winning the lottery--but I only won like 5$, lightening. I wish stuff would stop happening to me.

Other people have family that will invest in their future, and thus giving you the gift of education so that your next generation will have someone to invest in them. Someone out there understands that investing in your family is paving your own future.

Being struck by lightening.
Winning the lottery.
Sinking a hole in one.
And because I live in Atlanta...catching every light green and having people use their turn signals.
